If the dose of a medicine is changed to x times the original value then how will the half-life change?

To be more specific if a patient takes 0.5mg of clonezepam what is the half-life.And when he takes 0.25mg of clonezepam what is the halflife.
Also when he takes 1mg,2mg,etc what is the half life.
It would also help if i can get a formula that can give me the relation between old halflife & new halflife when the dose is changed. If the dose of a medicine is changed to x times the original value then how will the half-life change?
I am not a pharmacist and can not say positively for that medication.
Some medications the half life is a fixed constant. if 1 gram becomes 0.5 left in the blood stream in 1 hr, then 10 grams becomes 5 grams in 1 hr.
Some medications don't have a "half life" they have a fixed metabolization rate. your liver can process appx 0.75 oz of alcohol per hour. it does not matter if BAC is 0.001 or 0.35. (except that the 0.001 will be completely gone before 1 hr is finished)
some medications will have a sort of "combined" version... some being metabolized at the fixed rate and some half-life effect.
I didn't think the half life changed when you changed the dose if there are first degree kinetics (most drugs). In this case the reports I have seen on the internet say that the half life is about 35 hours (depending on the patient).

If the cigarette company...?

changed the stuff in the cigarettes that made it less addicting and no one new of it what do you think that would happen? I think that everyone would go insaine like if we would get rid of drugs but huh? cigaretts are a drug... HUH>... think about it..If the cigarette company...?
So if the cigarette companies took the nicotine out, would people go insane due to withdrawl?
Possibly- but let's say the company does this gradually....
No- due to the Placebo Effect, people will still believe that they are getting their Nicotine fix as long as they believe so....
If the companies (who would have to be put through unbelievable alien water torture) decided to ween people off gently, who knows the possibilities? Then again, people would still die from smoking- over 400 poisons in one cigarette.
Yeah Good idea. How about a cigarette when inhaled produces Oxygen ;-?
Tobacco companies should just listen to you. but they want people to get addicted ..what do they really care who they kill?
good idea but no cigar..i thought about it and think you are dreaming

If someone is around people who smoke weed on a daily basis, but doesn't smoke it, will it show up on a drug t

Will it show up on a drug test. I should probably add that it is a urine test.If someone is around people who smoke weed on a daily basis, but doesn't smoke it, will it show up on a drug t
Yes, it might. It's called passive use.

If someone bonks me on the head and it sounds like hollow wood, is that a bad thing?

If someone bonks me on the head and it sounds like hollow wood, is that a bad thing?
????? Thump, thump, BOOM! ????
I LIKE drums!
yyyyeeesssss.......
are you serious?! um... yea it's bad but it can't exactly sound hoolow. do you have a brain? i'm assuming you do so your head can't sound hollow.
no, the density of our brains is less than the skull surrounding it. This will give it that sound.
However, hitting your head could damage neurons and lead to injury (short and long term)
are you running for president ?
they all sound empty headed to me
the hollow sound is natural but if you got bonked hard enuff go to the doctors or hospital
Nah! But if little white things start coming out of your ears, see a termite exterminator immediately.

If rice is so fattening, why are there so few fat Asians?

If rice is so fattening, why are there so few fat Asians?
I didnt know rice was fattening!! Anyways, ppl in alot of asian countries don't eat meat and it's not like we eat chinese resturant food. And as for the dude who sed that there's no fast foods in asia, have you ever BEEN there? dude, it's like FULL of mcdonald's and kfc's. whee
other than that, i have no idea.
they work it off!
cause in asia it is like so hot. the heat helps you sweat off a lot of weight. plus, there isn't a lot of burgers and other fattening foods there.
The few chubby Asians of today aren't eating just the rice they did years ago. They are more modern and not all big people are big because of eating. They can have a thyroid problem which makes them that way. There's much more to it than eating. My mother ate about 1000 calories a day (she had a heart problem) but she still weighed 200lbs until her doctor started her taking thyroid meds and then she dropped weight fast.

If my parents are like 5'4 and 5'6, does that garentee that i'm going to be around their height?

like around 5'4 or 5'5? or 5'6
cuz right now i'm 14 and only 5'1.5 and i got my period like when i was 12.75 years oldIf my parents are like 5'4 and 5'6, does that garentee that i'm going to be around their height?
Chances are you will be 5'6" or shorter....but guaranteed? No. There are no guarantees. You could be taller, sure. No way to know till you are about 20. Then you'll be done growing. And your period has nothing to do with it.
yeah.. ask ur mom about ur period
im sad.. my dad is 6 and my mom is 5'2.. if im around there ill die
You may not be the same size as your parents. Are your grandparents taller. Sometimes the height gene can come from them.
My husband and I are not tall, but our sons are.
You'll probably be around 5'5" (add the height of your parents and divide by 2) -- gives you an average height (unless you have an abnormal growth hormone in which case could be much different).
Not necessarily, usually there can be a trip up due to family genes. For example older family members ( great grandparents ) might have been short and the gene in your family is for short height to occurs every so many generations.
My ex-husband & I are both 5'3", so you'd think our children would be somewhere around my height. My sisters were 6'1" and 5'9" though. My children are 5'8" and 6'.

If mobile phones cause cancer, why don't more people have tumours in their hands?

Just one of those strange questions one thinks of in the daydreaming hours :)If mobile phones cause cancer, why don't more people have tumours in their hands?
most probably bcos our brain cells are much more sensitive compared to skin
there is no proof whatsoever that cell phones cause tumors or cancer. so this question doesnt really make sense. sorry!!!
Because its just another way for the government to control us and make us scared of stupid things, that arent really all that threatening.
My Question would have been - why don't guys get tumors 'near their pockets' from keeping them in their pockets all the time!!
