It feels like I have a toothache in my lower left jaw. I would understand if it was my upper jaw, that would correlate to sinus pain. But my lower left jaw/tooth aches? I have no cavities, decay etc...I have the flu, but why do my teeth hurt?
Everything might ache with the flu. Also, if you are having sinus involvement as well, you might have an ear infection, or at least some ear involvement. Because your ears sit right where the TMJ (jawbone) is, that could cause you to feel the aching there.
When you have the flu, everything can hurt. You bones are weak and often in pain. Very normal.
Specifically, the pressure exerted on your roots by the swelling in your sinus cavaties, or INFLAMMATION...if'n you like them big words...
You probably have a swollen 'gland' that is pressing on the 'nerves' that go to the area of your mouth that 'hurts' ... and you should see a doctor about this ASAP because that means that 'something else' is going on in your body besides having 'the flu' ... you may need antibiotics to 'get over it' ...
