I lost my voice and I really need some fast acting remedies. What should I do?

THE BIGGEST TALENT SHOW OF MY SCHOOL YEAR IS TONITE AND I HAVE TO SING IN IT...AND I LOSE MY VOICE I AM ABSOLUTELY HORSE! IVE SUCKED ON LEMONS, DRANK GREEN TEA, DRANK WATER IM REALLY STARTING TO GET WORRIED! SOMEONE PLEASE HAVE A REMEDY I ONLY HAVE 8 HOURS!I lost my voice and I really need some fast acting remedies. What should I do?
Mix honey and lemon it should be a little bit thicker then regular cough syrup take 2 spoons full every 2 hrs and you can still suck on lemons in between that will help give it a try
Drinking aloe Vera gel mashed up with a little water and gargle with it & then drink it
aloe is better then anything for that

I know my contacts presecription, do I have to get an exam to reorder?

It's been almost 2 years, but I know that my eyes are stable (as they have been for a long while) and I would really rather not pay for a new exam. I tried to do this also..I wanted to get new contacts knowing my prescription but they kept asking for the slip from my opthamologist. I had to go back to the doc's office and had my eyes tested, they fitted me with contacts and then gave me the slip. That's the only way I could've gotten my contacts. But hey, its not too bad-having your eyes checked regularly is always healthy.
After two years you will need a new eye test. You may not think your eyes have changed, but they probably have. You will therefore need a new prescription.
not if its been two years. most opticians will insist on a re-test and also an eye check which really is very important with contacts. it will check the health of your eye - not just the sight range. its a bit of a hassle but worth it - you dont want to risk your eyes. where do u live? UK? some opticians will do a monthly set of contacts and if you sign up for a year u get a free eye check. but do have to pay for test. look out for deals - sometimes independent opticians have lower price deals on.

the best thing for you to do is to first start to drinking fluids, have a glass of water before you go to bed. health proffers say its very good for you and can help you sleep better i don't know why but i do the same thing and it helps me alto! so try doing that and if it still doesn't work then eat some jell-o or something healthy. also your diet has a affect on how you will be sleeping. so if you eat alot of junk food then you will not get enough nitration and body will have to work trough out the night. also try eating smaller portion when its comes to eating. people don't know this but you are suppose to eat 4-5 times a day but keeping it in smaller portions. if you want more help just contact me back! i will glad to help!
Control yourself and teach your body to stop eating at least 2 hours before bedtime. Eat before and then call it quits for the day. You need to make sure you eat enough but dont over eat so your body doesnt feel hungry making you eat at night. Make sure your body is content during the day.
I have to eat at night too, or I can't sleep. I make a big bowl of air popped popcorn and try to eat one kernel at a time. Almost no calories or fat and good source of fiber.

No, that is sour stomach. It is caused by slow digestion of food in stomach or overeating. Tums or Rolaids should help. Try not to eat until all that food in your stomach passes out.

I had the same problem but it was only gas. I had it for about a week. I drank lots of water. I went through the same exact thing. But you're not like me, so anything can be happenning. You should check with a doctor or any kind of professional.

And as a hospital employee, if you need to take something to pass this test, I wouldn't want you working in a hospital. Clean up your act before you cause others harm, especially patients who come to us with trust.
