I have a fluid build up behind my ear?

I went to the doctor and he gave me antibotics and they did nothing to help me(after they were gone). What is the next step to get this fluid from behind my ear this can be dangerous if not fixed should I go back to the same one or choose another doctor?I have a fluid build up behind my ear?
#1. it is important to see the same doctor. they already know what's up. maintaining what is called "continuity of care" is very important. it's better to stick with one doctor and build a relationship of trust. doctor hopping can actually delay a healing process, 'cause the new doc always has to start at square 1.
#2. tell the doc that the antibiotics didn't work. ask about having the fluid drained and CULTURED, so that a specific antibiotic can be given for that particular infection. Are you running fever or having significant pain? if so, don't delay going in right away.
#3. Sometimes infections in the ear, especially that have a fluid accumulation take a while to clear up. keep in touch with your doctor and you will be okay. Feel better!
gp back to your doctor and ask for referral to see a specialist... and preferrably have an MRI scan...
because it may be nothing to do with your ear... it could be neuro or viral...
... if it is fluid it should normally resolve itself unless there is an underlying cause... which needs to be investigated...
what are your symptoms...?? pain??or is your hearing dull??
dizziness...??? nausea??? does your ear have a discharge???
have you had a viral infection of late?? have you had your ear checked for wax??
I think you will glean from all this why a specialist and an MRI scan is the best for ascertaining what is causing your ear problem... and resolving it quickly...
Don't worry .. just go for further checks this will ease anxiety....
