I can usually manage it, but it is getting pretty bad. I don't take anything for it. Any tips on what to do, and what can help my stomach/break up all the yuck? Thank you in advance!I have allergies, and the drainage is making me really sick to my stomach- any tips?
You need on allergy medicine every day. I take the generic of Claritin which is loratadine. It works and does not make me drowsy like the other ones. I also use Flo-nase in the morning in each nostril. It took me years and much persistance from my doctor to realize I have to take this medicine in order to maintain some type of normal life. I used to throw up every morning from the yuck in my stomach. No more.
take decongestant or drink tea.. I have the same thing all the time and sometimes you just have to wait it out.
fluids...water water water....to push all the yucks threw. Try Tylonal severe allergy and sinus. And if one nostril works but the other doesnt run hot water and breath in the steam....It works for me.
If you don't mind spitting, try to get all of that stuff out rather than swallowing it.
I get horrible allergies, too. I guess it's that time of year again.
And I'm a firm believer that tea helps EVERYTHING.
You can do several things...I have the same problem.
Try over the counter "Mucus Relief" or "Mucinex". This product helps break down the drainage so it isn't so thick and upsetting to the stomach.
You can also try sipping tea - with a little ginger and honey mixed in. Ginger ale, coke and sprite also help.
Good Luck.
