I take bp meds and have had a transfusion, can I nstill donate blood?
Doubtful...Your local donor program can tell you for sure...
Call your local Blood Bank and ask them. I believe you will have to wait a year from the date of your transfusion to donate. As for the Meds, sometimes it depends on the type and amount of Medication you are taking. Kudos to you for wanting to donate.
I think it would be OK,as long as you had your blood transfusion in the states. You will need to give your body a chance to recover etc and wait a few months,or ask your local Red Cross volunteers for advice. Take care,you're a hero for donating ! SW RNP
