I want to tan but have fair skin help?

I want to go out and tan . In the sun and not a tanning bed. I'd like to know how long i should stay out in the sun without sunscreen. I have fair skin and don't want to burn and the only sunscreen i have is prescription 70 spf so no way i'd get a tan with that on.I want to tan but have fair skin help?
If you have fair skin, you are already at increased risk of skin cancer just from going out in the sun. Do you have any family history of skin cancer?
You say you want to go out and tan, but unless you've ever seen melanoma (the worst kind of skin cancer) close up, you may not understand the amount of risk you're taking. Check out this picture first: http://concise.britannica.com/ebc/art-56...
Fake tanners have a reputation for being orange, but they've improved ALOT over the last several years. You can get ones now that are small amounts in lotion, which you apply every day and develop a nice tan. For a fair-skinned person, this is a much better plan. You do NOT want to end up looking like the picture above. Please consider this option before deliberately increasing your sun exposure without sufficient SPF protection.
okay so...definetley do not use a tanning bed. cancer in a box. and spray on tans just look fake and cheesy. i suggest not going out to just tan. just go out and have fun in the sun and you will probably tan some. and maybe even try not using a high spf. it wont hurt as long as you are not just laying in the sun
First of all, dont go tanning without any sunscreen on. Its the worst thing you can do for your skin, literally. Invest in a good tanning lotion that has an SPF in it-whether its 15 or 50 you have to have some SPF. It will take a while to get a tan in the sun, but even if you go to a tanning booth they will tell you the same thing.
